Emergency Plumber in Snohomish County, WA

From the Everett waterfront to the foothills near Gold Bar, Snohomish County plumbing has to handle rain, rivers and the occasional deep freeze. Pyper Plumbing is here around the clock when a pipe lets go.

Snohomish County stretches from Puget Sound shoreline to the Cascade crest, and your plumbing feels it. Most people live in the western lowlands, where mild wet winters are the norm. Out east, the foothill towns sit near fast mountain rivers and get far more rain. A busted pipe does not care which side of the county you live on, so we treat every call as the main event.

Pyper Plumbing focuses on 24/7 emergency repair: burst and frozen pipes, leaks, backed-up drains and sewer lines, failed water heaters, and toilets that will not quit running. If it is wet and it should not be, give us a call. For the work that is not an emergency, we handle repairs, fixtures and repiping too.

Local know-how

What plumbing is like in Snohomish County

Rivers that rise fast

Two big river systems drain the county. The Stillaguamish runs through Arlington and Stanwood, and the Snohomish, fed by the Skykomish and Snoqualmie, runs past the city of Snohomish. During atmospheric river storms they can flood the valleys. In December 2025 the Snohomish River crested at 34.15 feet, a new record. Flood season can bring water in places it never goes, backed-up drains, and soaked crawlspaces. If you see water where it should not be, shut off what you can and call us.

Rain, cold snaps and burst pipes

Yearly precipitation ranges from roughly 35 inches in the western lowlands to far higher in the mountains, and most of it falls from October through March. Real cold is rare, which is exactly why it hurts. During the January 2024 cold snap, pipes burst at schools in Lake Stevens and Stanwood-Camano, and Everett firefighters answered 27 service calls in about a day, mostly broken water pipes. Pipes in exterior walls and crawlspaces are the usual victims.

City water, district water and septic

Where your water and sewer come from depends on your address. A big share of the county's tap water traces back to Everett's system on the Sultan River, delivered by the city, Snohomish County PUD or other local providers. Sewer might be a city system, a sewer district, or a septic tank. In some small foothill towns, like Gold Bar, septic is still the norm. We work on the plumbing in your home, like fixtures, drains and water lines. We do not install septic systems.

Questions about Snohomish County

Do you offer emergency plumbing in Snohomish County?

Yes. Emergency plumbing repair is our main focus, and we take calls day and night, including weekends and holidays. If you have a burst pipe, a sewage backup or no water at all, call right away and we will get you on the schedule.

What should I do while I wait for a plumber during a leak?

Find your main water shutoff and turn it off. Open a faucet at the lowest point in the house to drain the lines. Move valuables away from the water, and switch off power to wet areas only if you can do it safely. Then call us.

Can you help if my pipes freeze during a Snohomish County cold snap?

Yes. Frozen and burst pipes are a big part of our emergency work. Keep the heat on, open cabinet doors under sinks, and shut off the water if a pipe splits. We can thaw, repair or replace the damaged section.
